Indie Dance
Indie dance is a musical genre that combines elements of rock and electronic music. Indie is short for the English word independent. In the terms of music this can be easily explained: the indie dance style is a home for independent labels and artists from the vanguard of dance culture.

Indie dance is characterized by melodic structure like in alternative or indie rock only with electronic beats, synth lines, and samples. Indie dance can be considered as the synonym for all independent music without scopes.
Dance punk is often said to be the progenitor of indie disco, but it didn`t vanish, it just evolved into a new form. Indie dance has very different sound. On the one hand, the sound can be represented by noisy guitar bands such as !!!, The Faint, or LCD Soundsystem. On the other hand, by disco glamorous Parallel Dance Ensemble, Benoit & Sergio, Jupiter. There is even a middle form — psychedelic indie dance, the best representative of which is the German band Thieves Like Us.
