DJ ZEMINE
The 1st Russian Drum and Bass female DJ, owner of WOW Signal Records, promoter, designer, writer, producer, member of Provansal' Female DJs.
Zemine began djing in 1998. Before that she was famous as the head of punk group called 'La-5 in the Air' and underground fashion designer. Since 1999 till 2012 she was co-owner, designer and creative manager of Respect Records label and Respect Family promo group. Respect Family was called the Best Promo Group on 'Russian D&B Awards' in 2003 and 2004, the Best Label on 2006. Since 2003 she was promouter and resident DJ of "Listen Up!" sunday nights in Griboedov club dedicated to deep and positive vibrations of drum and bass music.
By effort of Zemine Saint-Petersburg crew has seen such gigs of stars as Black Sun Empire, Seba, Paradox, Pyro, Physics, Resound, Nookie, Future Prophecies, Storm, Breakage, Klute, Bailey, Nu:Tone, Goldie, Technical Itch, Aphrodite, Corrupt Souls, Stamina MC, Future Engineers, Makoto, MC Deeizm, Alix Perez, Lynx, Icicle and others.
Zemine has the big collection of drum&bass, funk and soviet retro vinyl. In drum and bass music she prefers soulful, liquid funk, drumfunk, breakcore, ragga jungle, hardstep, neurofunk, techstep. Her dj style is notable for monumental and eclectic sound.
