Z-Machine exists to drive us through this crazy machine world, where the best to do is Dance and Fly High.. Paul Marks is making the psychedelic underground scene move and fly in Israel since 1997. Born in South Africa (1975) and living in Israel since 83 has given him many gifts, like participating and assisting, since the beginning, the evolution and trance*formation of this trance power that keep us FULLY ALIVE and the opportunity of sharing knowledge and studio time with the great masters from digital sound design. Two gifts in one that make Paul very happy and glad for living in the global trance scene. His journey started when he was 16 years old, in the same way as many of us, in the forest with the first psychedelic experimentation, the one that changed life for good. Thank you, once again, Dr. Hoffman : ) ! ! ! Up to 97 he was very busy dancing the global beat with full dedication while discovering the psyconautica navigation in the Other Realms Then he started to play Dj, first in small parties and soon in all types of commercial and in the underground scenegiving him the opportunity at the time to buy some equipment and start experimenting himselfstarting towards the next level where he is today: producing his second album!! The international dancing tribe is already blasting with Z-Machine vibes, at record labels like TIP, ARCADIA, PHANTASM, PROCYON, PHONOKOL, TRIBAL , HADRA , SIRIUS REC ,ALEPH ZERO REC ,CRYSTAL MATRIX , PROTON , Digital Oracle , PUKKA MUSIC and METATRON PRODUCTION have spread some of his tunes through the Planet. Paul Marks describes his music as full on Goa psychedelic, suiting perfectly for sunrise and full on morning.and leaves the message: To all you FLOWERS on the dance floor! ! ! Make your LIFE just as beautiful as you are on the dancefloor! ! !.and this is the truth Z-Machines music and touch goes and takes us from inner navigations of the self to Totally Blasting Body and Soul . . . Yanniv Goldfarb, born in Israel in 1976, started the path to music at the age of 15 when he got his first electric guitar and joined the hard core/metal band Brutal Platoon. Soon to become successful on the local Israeli scene, they even performed live with two legendary British bands, Exploited and Carcass.
At the age of 18, Yanniv began his first DJing experience in an alternative rock/new wave club, The End, where he became a resident DJ. In 1995 he discovered the world of Goa Trance, soon to change his life. After the transaction of playing Trance at local parties, he left for Japan where he lived for 4 years, Djing in Tokyo clubs and outdoor events. In 1998, he traveled to India for 6 months, soaking up more of the Goa/psychedelic trance genre that he fell in love with back in ’95, playing week after week in the mountains of the Parvati and Kulu (Manali) Valleys.
While in Japan, together with his Turkish friend DJ Sancar (OTG), he started Arcadia, a successful party organizing and CD distribution company. In the summer of 2000, the team parted ways and Yanniv returned to Israel to create a new label, Bionics Records and to get his practical Sound Engineering degree.
After several years of activity running the label and producing music under the name Onyx, Yanniv realized that he had to choose between running his own label and his passion to write music. The decision to close Bionics Records was inevitable and the real Onyx was born!
Now in 2007 - After 12 years of successful activity in the international Trance scene, achieving a solid reputation for top notch producing & songwriting, Yanniv is about to release his debut album, ‘Groove On’, under the label BNE/YoYo.
2 years in the making, ‘Groove On’ contains powerful remixes to Oforia & Onyx /Space Cat while highlighting fresh & exciting collaborations with the likes of Domestic, PTX, Black & White, Time Lock & Ultravoice. Standout tracks: Manpower & Step by Step- already making massive waves on the international scene.
The Onyx sound can be defined as being influenced by a diversity of musical backgrounds and trance styles, which all combine to make a unique form of highly energetic and fun music of the highest quality, that ROCKS any dance floor !!
