Dmitry Malikov

Dmitry Malikov is a famous Russian singer and composer whose popularity reaches millions of fans throughout many countries of the former Soviet Union. Over an illustrious career that has spanned more than 20 years, he released 14 albums and sold over 20 million records. In 1995 Dmitry won a World Music Award in the “World’s Best-Selling Recording Artist” category.

As a trained pianist who attended the world famous Moscow Conservatory, Dmitry has a rare talent and ability to intertwine elements of classical music with different contemporary movements.
In 2007, Dmitry composed and produced an instrumental show “PIANOMANIA” which received critical acclaim and became a breakthrough event of the year in Russian popular music art. The production also brought Dmitry the highest artistic recognition bestowed upon musicians and actors in the country – the title of a People’s Artist of Russia. In 2010, Dmitry debuted in the role of a musical conductor when, during a visit to France, he co-authored and co-produced a grandiose show “Symphonic Mania” featuring classical and modern music as well as operatic and ballet performances by Russian and French stars.

In his work, Malikov combines several styles: pop music, New Age, modern arrangements, and traditions of Russian classic music. This incredible combination bears out original and unique melodies. Music by Dmitry Malikov attempts to blur boundaries between different cultures, generations, and worldviews; it has become a universal language for anybody who loves beauty.
