My journey into electronic music began with the Mortal Kombat film. It was this movie that sparked my interest in powerful, emotional sound — the kind that captivates and inspires.
I quickly found my first musical role models: Robert Miles, Armin van Buuren, Testo, and other masters of the electronic scene showed me how multifaceted this world could be. Inspired by their work, I bought my first computer and dove into learning DAW sequencers.
The beginning wasn’t easy. My first compositions were hardly professional, but to me they were true hits — they gave me self‑confidence and the desire to grow. Despite having no formal music education, I learned by ear, studied harmony, and gradually found my own path in sound.
In 2007, I made my debut as a musician and DJ under the pseudonym Alex De Voult, focusing on the Uplifting Trance genre. This was a time of experimentation, first performances, and searching for my unique style.
A turning point came when I discovered Melodic Techno. This genre was a revelation for me: its depth, atmosphere, and rhythmic flexibility allowed me to express what had long been inside me. This is how Tivex Skrill was born — a project that blends the emotionality of trance with the hypnotic power of melodic techno.
Today, I continue to explore the boundaries of electronic music, balancing the roles of producer and DJ. My goal is to create tracks and sets that don’t just play — they tell stories, immerse listeners in a special state, and linger in the memory.
