THE SAADIK
THE SAADIK is an electronic music producer from Saint Petersburg whose journey began long before the digital era.

His first “mixes” appeared in school years, recorded on his father’s reel-to-reel tape recorder and later on a dual cassette deck. Back then it wasn’t called DJing — it was about carefully crafting seamless compilations with no silence between tracks. Early influences included Space, Pink Floyd and other progressive and electronic pioneers.

In the mid-90s he began experimenting with digital production using ACID and early versions of Fruity Loops before moving to Reason, where his understanding of sound design and arrangement truly developed.

From the late 90s to early 2010s he became deeply involved in Saint Petersburg’s club scene, attending and participating in major events such as DJ Parade, East Strike Festival and World Drum’n’Bass. His first live performance took place at Friday Club, where he literally brought a full desktop computer with a CRT monitor to the stage.

Performing under the alias DL Greeb, he played regular drum’n’bass sets at Friday Club and appeared at venues such as Tunnel, Truba, Port and Red Club. During that period he released several cassette mix compilations, had a track featured on a CD compilation and another pressed on a white label promo vinyl for DJs.

After an almost 15-year hiatus — shaped by personal life and transformation — he continued producing music privately, without public releases.

Today THE SAADIK returns with a clear artistic direction. His current sound is rooted in modern tech house, blending groove-driven rhythms with spatial depth and subtle atmosphere.

He focuses on consistent releases, authentic growth and long-term artistic development rather than artificial promotion.
