On Tuesday I got Wicked Girls, a CD by Seanan McGuire, in my mail.

And I love it so. Many of these songs are pure awesome. And the red riding hood-ness of The True Story Here! *loves all over it*

So I decided to stick them on icons.

For help_pakistan I offered to make icons. These are not the ones for the person who won that auction. These are the ones for the second-place winner who donated anyway and I made icons for anyway. Yay mjules!

Anyway, the challenge here to take my opposite gender cover songs and icon them, somehow showing the same thing that the covers do in regards to gendered language. It was hard, but fun.

mjules is very generous and has decided that other people who wish to use the icons I made for hir may. The usual thing about commenting and crediting apply.

I might have gotten a little carried away, considering I initially just wanted an icon of Sherlock to use. (I don't tend towards having many fandom-based icons.) But I couldn't find the exact moment I was looking for, so I might have decided to just make more icons while I searched.

On the subject of things no one would ever icon for me (except maybe attempt_unique if I looked really plaintively at her because she's just that awesome) is American Astronaut.

American Astronaut is a Science Fiction Western Musical, and it's crackier than it sounds. No, really.

Actual quote from the movie: "In return Samuel Curtis agrees to be the Pirate's partner at the big dance contest 'cause Curtis didn't have a plan and the Pirate never won anything in his whole life and those are the most beautiful trophies he'd ever seen."

The front of my DVD box reads "Space is a lonely town."

Oh, and FYI, I will totally take constructive criticism on my icons. I might decide not to listen to it, but I will be grateful if you choose to share it.

I've been told there are graphics programs out there which do nice things and are not Krita. But they are now irrelevant to me, as I have gotten KDE to work on my Mac, and now I have Krita again.

It's been a couple of years (!) since I last made icons, but here are some Party Animals one. Including a couple of Danny, who's played by Matt Smith, who is the 11th doctor.
