Asmadeus
Born in the Smolensk village, Asmadeus (Aleksey Kolpakov) found salvation in music when the guitar and an accidentally discovered copy of FL Studio became a window from the world of domestic injuries. His work is an existential diary: the army, the death of loved ones, fatherhood and betrayals were compressed into a sound where techno meets Slavic folk.
- Early experiments with dubstep and big room (2012-2015), performances at festivals in the Smolensk region.
- A turning point: sets in cult Moscow clubs (2018), where the non-commercial sound caused a flurry of emotions.
- Creation of a unique style of Industrial Folk Techno - modular synthesizers, dissonant melodies and samples from childhood (squeak of the well, grandmother's voice, train horns).
- Concept "Asmadeus": a mask as an art object symbolizing pain, redemption and strength.
"Techno-bits forged in the village, carrying the cold of Russian winter and the warmth of human resilience. If Ben Frost and Perc had created an album in an abandoned Smolensk church, it would have been Asmadeus (RA, 2024).
Goal: To carry catharsis through music. To prove that techno is a language that talks about losses and hope louder than words.
- Work on the debut album "From the Ashes" (2025) with the support of the Moscow studio "Gryoza".
- Participation in festivals: BRO RECORDS vk.com/rapeventmsk (Moscow), PEONER vk.com/pionervyazma (Vyazma).
- Collaborations with visual artists in the genre of "digital nostalgia".
