India Youth Forum took place from the 28th of March to the 1st of April 2012 in New Delhi. The opening session was conducted at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The Forum united more than a 130 young leaders from over 36 countries. The youth who are concerned about various problems of modern society and want to create solutions gathered in India. Nearly 60% of India’s population is under the age of 30, so what better place that India to have a dialogue between generations and cultures. Important discussions helped youth leaders to focus on the awareness, understanding and dialogue in these areas of modern societies. Those areas were "Young Family and Values", "Education", "Environment", "Social Media / New Media", "Active Participation in Public Life". All pieces of the puzzle have been joined together to represent the country and society of our dreams. We hope that solutions, ideas and insights coming from it will be incorporated into our daily lives and help to build a better future for ourselves and the generations to come. India Youth Forum hopes it has planted the seed of thought in the minds of these young leaders to map out a new vision for the future.
