What's been your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting the total of 40 tracks from various Russian and foreign producers out on my Alien Technology label.
What moments will you never forget?
Being booked to play at a 2 day psytrance event in the middle of the Siberian forest. Despite the weather was very cold and everyone was wearing winter clothes - the fun was still there on the dancefloor!
Who's been your favourite newcomer of the year?
Iain Sanderson (Hard House), Andy Wolf and Crasherz (Hard Dance/Hardstyle).
Who's been the artist of the year for you?
Very hard, but i'd say Dave Owens or Dom Sweeten (Defective Audio/Base Graffiti).
What's been your favourite label of the year?
Hard to choose really - too many great labels around. But probably Vicious Circle, Fireball, Twisted Traxx and my own Alien Technology are the ones that dominate my record box.
What do you think has been the best track of the year?
"Acid Test" by Tom Parr was always a highlight in my dj sets this year, aswell as Defective Audio remix of Gaz Gibson's "Immortal".
What's been your favourite event of the year?
Sunvibes 2009 which is the biggest open air event in Siberia. Playing my music on the main stage alongside Tomcraft, Marcus Schossow and Victor Strogonov to hundreds of ravers was mental!
What's the funniest thing that's happened to you?
When i was playing at an event in a small local bar called "Traffic" an unknown DJ entered the booth and started to beg me to let him play a few of his tunes. He was staying like that for 15 minutes until the promoter finally came and asked him to leave. He left but soon returned with even bigger enthusiasm! Thankfully i was about to finish my set and left him negotiate with the next DJ.
What do you have planned for the next year?
To release more tracks and remixes from young and established producers on my Alien Technology label - some releases have been already scheduled and much more will be soon, as i'm always on the search for new material for the label. I'm also planning to expand my studio and getting more original productions, collabs and remixes done. Gigwise i finally hope to get myself to the UK and currently i am looking for possible opportunities ;)
