RME Fireface 802 FS - updated professional USB audio interface

RME releases a high-quality sound card in a 19" rack format that is suitable for live and studio use. It is noted that the new product retains all the advantages of its predecessor (Fireface 802), but adds the necessary updates to standards and compatibility features.

The main difference of the updated device is the refusal to support Firewire. Now instead of this connector, only a USB port is offered and the possibility of remote connection thanks to the additional ARC USB port. In addition, the device is capable of operating in two modes: USB 2 mode (depending on drivers for a specific OS) and Class Compliant mode (supported by Windows, Mac OSX and Linux without drivers). In addition, the rear line outputs are now fully DC coupled.

The 24-bit/192kHz conversion interface features, among other things, a built-in DSP (TotalMix) mixer with effects section (EQ, compressor and reverb), SteadyClock FS jitter suppression technology, four analog mic preamps, software remote control inputs, software DigiCheck, CV/Gate voltage control and +48V phantom power.
