Update 10/31/10

Before getting into it...Happy Halloween! Now the update...

DJ SIDE:
This has been one of the busiest months I've had in a while...and though I'm sore, and VERY tired...I loved it! The wedding gig on the 22nd went rather well. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, which is always a good thing. And then the big weekend for me...Hal-Con 2010 and MasQ! Firstly, Hal-Con 2010 was a blast! Like every first convention, there are a few little wrinkles to iron out, but as a whole, it was very well run. The masquerade ball on opening night was amazing! The energy of the crowd was intense, which made it a lot of fun for me. Watching Boba Fett disco-dance to Meco's Star Wars was hilarious! All in all, a great time! Then came MasQ - 3rd Halloween Gala on Saturday night. Despite there being a good number of people having their own parties, or being at Hal-Con, MasQ had a pretty good turnout. Again, a lot of fun playing to the masses, and a good time was had by all ^_^ Next up for me will be spinning for Belindance in November...beyond that...well...there's something coming up in the new year, but I can't say anything more than that...you'll just hafta wait until everything is planned -_^

RADIO/PODCAST SIDE:
As you might know (well some might know, anyway...those on Facebook, definitely), my radio shows have returned! Monday nights at 8pm AST/6pm CST is Totally 80s! Thursday nights at 8pm AST/6pm CST is Dark Industry. It feels great to be back on the air again, and doing my regular shows! I'm going to start posting the playlists regularly on my blog once everything is all figured out with things, and of course, the shows will be available for downloading if you wanna hear them again or if you missed the initial broadcast!

PERSONAL SIDE:
Well...aside from being tired and sore, things are going alright. However, Wednesday does not hold any sense of enjoyment. As I mentioned once before, I have periodontal disease. My upper teeth were removed last year, and I've been living with false upper teeth for a while. I've gotten used to it, for the most part...but now, on Wednesday, my lower teeth are being removed. I'm going to have to get used to eating all over again. Despite knowing what's in store for me, I'm still not happy about this. Hopefully this will not affect my radio show schedule too badly. It also means I'm prolly not going to be terribly social for a while until I can get comfortable with the new denture. I wish this didn't have to happen, but I don't have any say in it whatsoever...so despite it being a great weekend, there's something looming in the week to kinda override it all...FML...

That's about it...more when it happens...
