ThankYouPain was started in 2010 as an electronic solo project by Shizoeid (Shizo or She), also known as Virgin Mary, ex-member of idm/trip-hop band iky que (2008-2010). From the beginning this was a one-person-band with Shizo's vocals, violin, viola, piano and guitar combined with a lot of electronic sounds. 

Starting as something close to industrial and breakcore, ThankYouPain walked on to its first EP "burning butterflies" in october 2010, experimenting with breakbeat, glitch and combination of hard industrial sounds with live violin and piano. The EP is said to carry a certain idea of sweetiness of destructive powers of addiction or love.

The second EP "ashes" was released in december 2011 and is meant to continue and develop the first EP theme.

The band is now said to be working on their first long-play album.

тут нету никакой статичности в настроениях и в стилевой окраске.
единственное, что я уже знаю точно - это то, что в нашей музыке очень много всяких нервов, тревоги, беспокойства, и если вы ищете чего-то светлого и доброго - вам вряд ли сюда) 
потому что вся музыка ThankYouPain - это длинный-длинный рассказ о 

о двух пачках сигарет за ночь, о битом стекле, о холодных ночах, об окнах нараспашку, о красных от бессонницы глазах, о непринятых звонках, о неотвеченных письмах, о "почему" и "куда теперь".
тоскливо? ну, да.
болезненно? ну а чего вы хотели?)
