Varon V | DJ | Producer | Event Co-Ordinator

Varon V is a London-based DJ armed with charismatic energy and passion for his art. These attributes filter through to his Dj sets. V’s interestingly intricate tune selection sends listeners on a feel-good musical journey, providing dance floor enthusiasts with a fusion of deep, delicate, tranquil grooves alongside bass-fuelled rhythms.

In his own words. . . "Mood & Groove is everything!" 

V’s diverse and distinguished musical sound is heavily influenced by his upbringing, which was set to the soundtrack of Dub, Reggae, Lovers Rock, Soul, Rare Groove and Jazz. An eclectic fusion which, alongside his later stints on the Drum and Bass, Jungle, and Garage party scenes, is reflected in his evolving music collection and yet to be released productions.

V discovered dance music in the early 90's, tuning into pirate radio stations broadcasting Old School Hardcore and Rave Music. In 1992, aged 12, V heard a track which blew him away and at the same time helped him understand dance music on a greater level, fuelling his passion for the genre, that track was Jonny L’s “Hurt You So”. This record became his favourite Old School track and one of the first records he purchased along with SL 2's "On A Reggae Tip" and "Way In My Brain". 

V’s first gig at the age of 17 saw him playing deep, vocal House records including Camille "My Love Will Set You Free" ,Lil Louis "French Kiss" along with fresher offerings like Peppermint Candy "Chocolate Girl", Shauna Solomon "I Wanna Be" and Niquid "Piece Of Live". His career thereafter, spanning over a decade, has provided V with a wealth of experience. V’s monthly residencies and guest appearances in some of London’s renowned venues has allowed him to showcase his natural ability to keep dance floors captivated by delivering smooth uplifting peaks whilst maintaining that feel-good continuity he's known for.

2008 saw V embark on his weekly Saturday morning radio show on Unknown FM, one of London’s leading underground House music hubs.

V has played venues in London and around Europe including: Ministry Of Sound, Pacha (London), Whitehouse, T.H.A.T Club, Egg Club, Sosho, Aquarium, Turnmills, Sin, No.5 Cavendish sq, Cafe De Tulp (Ibiza), Viva (Ibiza), Argaue (Spain), Oh Coruña (Spain). He has played promotions alongside some of his favourite dj/producers, most notably the likes of Milton Jackson, Andy Daniell, Jimpster, Palmskin (The Bays), The Layabouts (Mn2s), Sandy Rivera (Kings of Tomorrow), Timmy Vegas (Soul Central), Funky Soldiers (Mn2s), Damien Wilson (CR2).

Vs schedule currently involves splitting his time between his careers in Youth work and music; including writing, producing and pushing his own party brand, DeepTouchSoul. V continues to play for other promotions, recently including Muak, Motion Thing and continuing his monthly residency with Groovy Imports where he is also the Events Coordinator. Of late V has managed to work his way up a rank or two while focusing on the deeper side of the underground House scene here in the Big Smoke.

These days you will find V (and the Dj Finger) in and around East London plying his trade, delivering vibes in the slightly more obscure venue, with a smile on his face!
