“Time Is Up” was created in 2001 by murmansk young composer and pianist Alexey Popov and his brother Albert, guitarist, winner of the rock festivals. Later “Time is up” became a trio: sound engineer Victor Tesler enjoined the project. So, band started to perform in clubs of Murmansk and other cities, and awarded the prize of “Heroes of Murmansk” in the category "Best Music Project of the Year" in 2004. In 2005 “Time is up” realesed the “Northern dancer”, including 12 original tracks and 1 remix. In the same year, young and talanted canadian film director Nick Haffie-Emslie shot a video for the track “Left by time” starring Lise Moule. Video filmed in Toronto, Canada. Alexey and Nick collabaration continued as a created by Alexey alternative soundtrack to Nick’s short film “Victor”, dark story of freedom and choice. In 2006 Victor Tesler leaved “Time is up”. In 2007 Konstantin Shilovsky came in the project as new sound engineer bringing many new interesting ideas to the project. By this time a lot of tracks in very different styles (club music, experimental electronic music, “space” music, pop songs, music for symphonic orchestra or piano, ethnic music and many, many others) was written by Alexey.
