BIO:

Olga’s fanatic passion for Russian electronica goes back to 2001, when she bought a "Hyper Utesov Presents" CD by Messer fur Frau Muller while a student in Moscow and Moscow DJ friends, including Gleb Deev and Andrey Panin, helped her bring loads of new Russian music releases home to Almaty. She burst onto the Almaty club scene with her debut in summer 2006, followed by a series of dj sets that have cemented her status as a DJane who “plays a different music.”

The sound of Olga’s sets started to change from ironic elecro-pop to melodic techno hypnosis after she discovered SCSI-9’s music in 2006. SCSI-9 showed her an entirely different side of Russian electronic music associated with producers like B-Voice&Khz, Mujuice, Midiots, D-pulse, the Fragment label and others.

Drawing on her training as a graphic designer, Olga launched Skazka Magazine in 2007, which combined music and design in a single theme. It featured Russian electronic musicians like Robots, Electrodinamique, Ambidextrous, Karateka, Last Floor Hotel, Ushty connection and DJ Mavr.

In early 2007, Olga and Val Alishev, a well-known Almaty club promoter, organized the Technika promo group. Their first event, which featured Novosibirsk techno ideologues - DJs Mika Regards and Kite, opened a new chapter in Almaty club life. Under their infamous Technika brand and with a backup from a big brand name, Olga and Val brought some of the world’s top electronic artists to Almaty, including The Modernist, Aril Brikha, and SCSI-9. DJs from Moscow performing for Technika included Arshanitsa, Anrilov, Zor'kin, Cross, Porno SS, B-Voice&Khz, and Andriesh. TimeOut Almaty declared this series of events among the top five music events of 2007.

In 2007, Red Bull Music Academy included Olga in the group of 60 promising young producers and DJs from around the globe that it trains every year. As part of the program in Barcelona in October 2008, Olga performed at two parties. At a small club called Versailles, Olga played ironic and original Russian electronica to an audience including DJ Zero, owner of the infamous Wah Wah Records shop. At the RBMA farewell party at the Razzmatazz night club, Olga received a great response from an audience of thousands as well as a very warm welcome from the club promoters, who served her a one-litre bottle of Absolut with the words “because you are Russian.” Olga has in fact become totally “Russian” with her relocation from Almaty to Moscow in early 2008. When not drawing and making collages, Olga spins vinyl and explores Ableton and Logic. She is certain to make a contribution to the development of Russian electronica.

BIO:

Anushka is Save Festival and Arma17 resident from the very first episodes. Now based in Barcelona, Anushka studies audio engineering in SAE institute and produces music for Mean Records, she plays vinyls and piano. Her DJ-sets and productions are an artful blend of deep dark techno and house.
