Rocket Jumper Interview 2015

Rocket Jumper chat about the present and the future of their careers, and also how they work together as a duo. I hope you enjoy this interview.  Read below and be sure to check out their fantastic music.

1 – How would you describe your own music style?

Alexander: Energy and smile.
Sergey: Explosive like a rocket.

2 – Tell us about your DJ gear…
Actually we’re using our laptop Lenovo.

3 – Was a career in music always the main objective, What did your family think of your choice?
Alexander: No, it wasn`t. Interested in music by influence of old trance and dance music in late 2000x. Family support such choice, but not from the very start.
Sergey: ASOT changed my imagination about music, so dig into that in late 1990x. Family supports me.

4 – How would you rate the music scene of the city you are currently living in?

Alexander: Its a small city here, weak club culture.
Sergey: Weak.

5 – Do you admire any Russian DJs?
Alexander: Arty, Swanky Tunes, Matisse & Sadko, Arston.
Sergey: Swanky Tunes, Matisse & Sadko, Arty.

6 – Which is your favorite social networking platform and why?

Alexander: Just diggin in twitch.tv and like it a lot. Youtube also! Nice way to interact with audience.
Sergey: Facebook.

7 – Are you collaborating with other artists or will you be? and who?

Alexander: We already collaborated with Magnetie (label owner of Insomnified rec). Hope to collaborate in future with Showtek and W&W, hope to get there ;)
Sergey: We just finished collab with magnetie and hope to collaborate with Kill FM someday.

8 – Your brand new tune “Woo” is getting huge support, talk us more about this track…

Alexander: We produced that track quite fast. After good respond and support for our track “Money” we decided to stay the flow on energy and happy style.
Sergey: This track became quite fresh and interesting.

9 – You spend a lot of time together, Surely there are arguments?

Alexander: Not much. Our work based in the way where i`m leading the creative process and Sergey working on details, so we don`t debate a lot about elements in the track, which is quite important.
Sergey: We are great team and moving in one direction for many years with common targets.

10 – Tell us what is coming out in the next months…

Alexander: Next release in May and it would be real banger, can`t say you name tho. But its really tough one. And some vocal collab is coming also, so stay tuned!
Sergey: Expect new works at Insomnified already in may :)

Review for Jamsphere Music Magazine

Полная версия: jamsphere.com/news/the-king-lo…

Обзор электронного журнала Jamsphere на наш, недавно вышедший ремикс: Tommy Deep - King Louie (Rocket Jumper Remix). Краткая версия.

Recently we reviewed the track King Louie by Tommy Deep, the 26-year old DJ-Producer who has long experimented with new sounds, striving to create club-based music with strong roots in the soul genre. Deep said that King Louie” is a culmination of  ten years of working on his technique and audio engineering, as well as developing his own unique musical style.

King Louie was released on December 1st, 2014 through the INSOMNIFIED record label on Beatport, iTunes, Amazon and other major digital download platforms. With its synth-based chords and rolling bass lines, “King Louie” was conceived to set club dance floors on fire.

And if that sounds like the apex of any dance track’s foremost aspirations, think again.INSOMNIFIED have just dropped 4 remixed versions of King Louie” to satisfy the widest EDM tastes. The ‘Deep House’ remix by MAGNETIE, a ‘Progressive House’ remix by LAEL BELLOTTI, an ‘Electro House’ remix by ROCKET JUMPER and finally the ‘Drum’n’Bass’ remix byMODIFIED MOTION & FACTION.

These remixes in my opinion are quite amazing. For those needing a dance floor fix, each remix of King Louie” serves up all of EDM’s trademark dance beats, syths, basses, breakdowns, build-ups  and excellent electronic flourishes. Here, all of remixing Producers’ emotive energies and raw musical capabilities have been focused into this track. If you’ve wondered what the music part of good dance music sounds like, here’s as good a place as any to start.

Interview || Jumping With Rocket Jumper For Think in Electronic

Представляет вашему внимаю Эксклюзивное Интерью для журнала Think in Electronic.

www.thinkinelectronic.com/2014…

1. How did it all start for Rocket Jumper?

Alexander: It`s started when we got released our first single "Hummer" at Adrian&Raz Recordings. We decided its a really good start to get first tune on such great label.

Sergey: Alexander and I worked for several years in other styles of music and we turned out excellent work in a team and so we decided to create the Rocket Jumper.

2. Alexander and Sergey make up Rocket Jumper, how long has each of you been producing and in what way does this influence the music you produce?

Alexander: I`ve been producing since 2009, almost as a Sergey. Electro House and Big room tunes always influence on music I produce. I always imagine how I`m playing my tracks for big crowd on scene. Since 14 years I really liked heavy, but lyrical groups like "Slipknot", I think its still has its touch in our music for Rocket Jumper.

Sergey: My first release was in 2009. Then I wrote uplifting trance and progressive trance. Every year the tracks became more commercial and club and I realized that I wanted to work in the EDM and Big room directions.

3. Why Rocket Jumper or how did you come up with that name?

Alexander: We were just sitting in our studio and thinking about name. Our tracks associating with energy, groove and power. When you listening to our music there is a feeling you want to jump, or at least to shake your head:) Always trying to get that vibe to push the floor under your feet.

Sergey: ‘Rocket Jumper’ is very well suited the style in which we produce and that`s why we decided to take this name.

4. Name your top three music idols of all times.

Alexander: That`s a hard one :)
1) Michael Jackson
2) Coldplay
3) Hans Zimmer

Sergey:
1) Crystal Method
2) Prodigy
3) Bomfunk MC

5. With whom would you love to collaborate and why?

Alexander: Definitely Showtek ! They feel dance scene and its flow like nobody else. Glamour, groove and melodic the component of their success.

Sergey: KillFm because guys doing very cool club music; R3hab, because he is very stable and wrote hits only and Ummet Ozcan because he is a tough guy :)

6. How did you get in touch with Magnetie/Insomnified?

Alexander: Well, its actually quite fun story about ‘how faith brings the desired’. We sent our tracks as usual to different labels, but nothing happened and we got some break for 2 or 3 months and then for some weird reason Sergey decided to send one more time. That`s how we contacted with Rosy (Magnetie) and got signed as an exclusive artist.

Sergey: I saw Insomnified label under the Black Hole Rec., as well as I saw that they focus precisely on Big room house and decided to send a demo.

7. Tell us a little more about who Rocket Jumper is on a non-musical front, if you guys
weren't a DJs/Producers, what would you be doing?

Alexander: I`m still having full-day job, but i`m planning to quit it next year to get all my time only for music. If I wasn`t producer i`d rather to work in a big financial company/bank because I have experience on management position and working with staff.

Sergey: I graduated as an architect and working as a designer, but the music certainly is on my first.

8. One last question, what is your motivation behind your music?

Alexander: It is love for our music. When you producing music you like and people like what you produce this is brings you happiness.

Sergey: I love electronic music since my childhood, so I want to contribute to the development of music.
