Dj Rem (Ramil Ashrafov) was born in 1978 in Baku city, Azerbaijan and has been one of the first and most popular DJs in Azerbaijan. Story of DJ Rem is associated with the history of clubbing culture of Azerbaijan. Since early years his passion to dance music made his way to this profession. In 1993 Ramil made himself busy with contemporary dancing within “New Men” dance band at Chingyz Mustafayev youth palace. This was where first public dance parties took place. In 1996 Rem starts his career as DJ in the first big discothèque called Sky Life together with Dj Namik Mamedov at Nizami cinema building. After closing of this series of parties in 1997 continued playing at night clubs such as Bermuda, Relax, 106fm, Tunnel. First electronic dance music parties in Baku city called House”106 fm were organized by TRiBAL PROMO GROUP at 106fm from 1996, which DJ Rem and DJ Nemo. Rem received invitation for residency from Tunnel loacted at the Grand Europe Hotel in 2000. While being resident at Tunnel club, DJ Rem in association with DJ Nemo organizes first national festival of electronic music SYMBIOS with partipication of Russian DJs Kosinus and Slutkey as well as artists from England John B and others. Year 2003 witnessed a big open-air event Liquid Surface im one of popular beach venues on the Caspian Sea shores. Well-known Russian techno DJ Van Nosikov was among guests in this event. Liquid Surface played a landmarking role in spreading of clubbing in Baku, which was continued by yet the biggest open-air event SandStorm with finnish celebrity DJ/Artist Darude in 2004 and well-known DJ from Saint-Petersburg Mikha Voron, co-organizer of MayDay Russia. DJ Rem has played in various cities of Russia, especially his gigs at clubs like Tunnel (St- Petersburg), RED (St.- Petersburg), Matrix (Nijny-Novgorod), 28 (Minsk), Farvater (Vyborg), Pobeda (Kirov) Sphere (Perm), Berlin, Noa –Noa (Tbilisi), Metro (Lvov), Cinema (Kiev) and Kazantip 2006 (Ukraine) His style is mainly techno and other close genres including electro, house, tech-house, tribal, breaks and etc. Ramil has released following mix albums: “Hard House is here”, “Millenium Mix”, “ Electrordinary” vol. 1 & 2, “Element” – vol.1 (Saint-Petersburg), “Soft’n’Dirty”, “The Future Sound of Baku” and “Audio Dessert” vol. 1

Рамиль Ашрафов родился в 1978 году в городе Баку и на протяжении многих лет является одним из первых и известнейших ди-джеев Азербайджана! Биографию DJ Rem также можно назвать историей клубной культуры в Азербайджане! С самого детства любовь к танцам и музыки привила его к этой профессии. 1993-м году Рамиль занимался современными спортивными танцами в группе “New Men” во дворце молодежи имени Чингиза Мустафаева. Именно в этом дворце проводились первые в городе молодежные дискотеки. 1996-м году DJ Rem начал свою карьеру с момента открытия первой большой молодежной дискотеки “Sky Life”, существовавшей в здании к/т им. Низами совместно с DJ Намиком Мамедовым. После закрытия этих серийных акций, 1997-м году DJ Rem продолжил свою деятельность в ночных клубах, таких как “Bermuda”, “Relax”, “106fm” , “Tunnel”. Первые вечеринки в Баку под названием “House@106 fm” начали проводиться в клубе “106 fm” с 1999-го года под именем организации “TRiBAL PROMO GROUP”, которую создали DJ Rem и DJ Nemo. После множественных танцевальных акций в этом клубе, в 2000-м году DJ Rem’a приглашают резидентом в ночной клуб “Tunnel” при пятизвёздочном отеле “Grand Hotel Europe”. Именно в этом клубе DJ Rem совместно с DJ Nemo организовывает первый национальный фестиваль электронной музыки под названием “SYMBIOS”, в котором участвуют многие известные российские ди-джеи, такие как Kosinus и Сладкий, а также Английские ди-джеи. 2003–й год запомнился жителям Баку крупным open-air’om “Liquid Surfase” , под убойным техно сетом известного питерского ди-джея Вани Носикова, на берегу Каспийского Моря. После этого опен эйра в Баку появилось много любителей электронной музыки, начатое дело имело хорошее продолжение и летом 2004-го года TRiBAL Promo группа организовывает самый крупный опен эйр в Баку “SandStorm” с участием Darude (Финляндия) и известного питерского ди-джея Михи Ворона! DJ Rem часто играет в городах России, особенно запомнились выступления в таких клубах как “TUNNEL” (Санкт-Петербург), “RED” (Санкт-Петербург), “Matrix” (Нижний Новгород), “28” (Минск), “Фарватер” (Выборг), “Noa Noa” (Tбилиси), “Победа” (Киров), “Sphere” (Пермь), “Metro” (Львов) и “Cinema” (Киев), участник ежегодного фестиваля KAZANTИП. в 2008-м году занимаясь собственным клубным бизнесом, Rem раскручивает клуб Long Island и организовывает там каждую субботу тематические Мinimal & Tech вечеринки собирая множество любителей своей деятельности. 2009 год открывает для DJ Rem все границы. Один из крупных и известных ночных клубов Анталии приглашает Rem-a стать резидентом ночного клуба "INSOMNIA" при 5-и звездочном отеле "Gloria Hotels & Resorts -Belek". После Турции Rem получает приглашение выступить в Дубайском ночном клубе "QUANTUM" где выступали многие мировые звезды танцевальной сцены. Первое выступление было на столько удачным что ровно через неделю владельцы клуба просят повторить выступление и второе выступление было не менее удачным. Теперь DJ Rem частый и почотный гость клуба "QUANTUM" DUBAI. в начале 2010-го года DJ Rem открывает школу мастерству ди-джеинга "GROOVESTEP" и сам же преподает. И в это время становясь арт директором клуба Bells (Baku), продвигает новых и талантливых ди-джеев из своей школы под лейблом Tech-House Family. Под этим лейблом по сей день проводятса тематические вечеринки в стиле Tech-House & Progressive. В данный момент DJ Rem резидент самого крупного клуба Баку - "HEZZ" и Владелец компании по организациям крупных мероприятий "DREAMEXE - INTERNATIONAL PRODUCTION BAKU" Филиал который находится в ОАЕ. Компания Dreamexe во главе с DJ Rem провела множоственно мероприятий с такими мировыми артистами как Alex Gaudino, Fedde Le Grand, Michael Woods, Antoine Clammaran, D.Ramirez, Funkagenda, Ministry Of Sound NYE, Motiv8, Modjo. DJ Rem играл на одной сцене со знаменитыми ди-джеями организованными компании Dreamexe Production. Рамиль выпустил такие mix cd как “Hard House is Here”, “Millenium Mix”, “Electrordinary” vol.1 & 2 ,“Element” -vol.1(spb), “Soft’n’Dirty”, “The Future Sound of Baku” , “Audio Dessert” vol.1. и к 15-и летию к своему творчеству юбилейный диск "15 IN Music" где включен ремикс на фольклерную Азербайджанскую мелодию Sari Gelin.
