Sacrebleu! French Indie Electro Pop! That’s what Kitsune Maison is known for, and the guys of BeatauCue dropped a wrecking ball on the head of that nail a while back.

The boys hit the road in the lower 48 this month to make their rounds on a fall US tour joined by fellow indie dancers the RAC (Remix Artist Collective) and Database. As Jack Nicholson said in Tim Burton’s reinterpretation of Batman, “Where does he get all these wonderful toys?” Skip forward 20 years, and the obvious answer would be, “Native Instruments.” From newfangled DJ control units, to insane synthesizers like the Razor, those electronic magicians are forever releasing new gadgets that keep changing the way in which we make and play music.

With their latest release, the Maschine iPhone app (cleverly titled the iMaschine), we see Jamie Lidell recreating his classic 2005 hit “A Little Bit More,” from his Warp Records album Multiply, making it all look so easy. Now if only iMaschine could give us a voice like his.
