Anya Elioutina (a.k.a. Ms. Psyjazz), a producer, composer and electric guitarist, shares her passion of guitar with her love of machines and digits. Having her background in Rock, Blues and Jazz-Fusion, she is also an electronic experimentator who has fallen in love with computer music. Growing up in Moscow, living and studying in Boston and New York and now being back in Russia, she's been writing and performing improvised Electro-Acoustic music for many years. Both as solo artist and with her numerous bands she has performed live internationally.

Employing jazz, rock and fusion composition techniques in combination with computer synthethised sounds and various dance grooves, Ms.Psyjazz produces a highly psychedelic and high energy intellectual dance music; full of infinite melodic loops, jazz guitar lines, complex poly rhythms, kicking drum’n’bass/ jungle and house beats with growling synth sounds. Her show is conceptually different from a DJ, live PA or a one-person band. It is a fully LIVE interactive electronic music performance and real-time composition, where both the human musician and computer are equally creative musical partners in an improvised setting.

Performing electro acoustic music at clubs and festivals since 1995, both as solo artist and with her live bands, she had toured in many states in US and Russia. New York, Boston, New Haven, Firefly Festival in New Hampshire, Phish Festival in Limestone, Maine, Starwood Festival in New York and numerous clubs in Moscow, Russia.

She has released three CD albums including the jazz-fusion album “Anuta was here”; music from which was broadcasted live by Fox News Tv “Good Day Live”. Her work was also released on a City University of New York Electro-Acoustic Music Festival Compilation CD, 2005.

Using the latest computer music software (Cycling74's MAX/MSP) she develops interactive applications with their algorithms based on human musician's behaviors in a live jazz band. This enables the computer to compose in real time and improvise. Her solo performance with midi-guitar and computer is actually an interactive duo where a software cyber musician is “trained” on traditional jazz improvisation concepts and not only listens and responds to the human partner’s actions but is taking an initiative to create spontaneous changes in music on it’s own. When using traditional methods in writing jazz or composing music for theater, film and TV productions, in her own artistic endeavors Ms Psyjazz presents a “nonlinear” or “real-time” composition of interactive electronic music. In other words, without any prerecorded timeline or sequence based material, she presents improvised electronic music pieces which reflect the current chemistry between the human musician, computer and audience.

Такие алгоритмы я моделирую с музыкальной тактики взаимодействия музыкантов в джазовом коллективе.
