With more as 10 years of constant work on his own musical and artistic visions in the studio (both audio and video) Germany’s Misanthrop is no stranger to the international Drum & Bass scene at all. He was caught up by the dark sounds and menacing beats of ‘drum and bass’ in the early nineties, when he decided to produce his own tracks under the moniker ‘Misanthrop’; a name that in his point of view gave him the freedom to use music as a medium to express personal experiences of human interactions. His musical arrangements symbolicly oppose to the lack of candour – his aim is to break through the borders of conventions to set new unusal grounds.

With his hard hitting and distinctive sound his back catalogue ranges from successful releases on Renegade Hardware, over to Shadow Law, Cyanide, and up to Subtitles Music. He literally went from strength to strength and found his biggest success in the release of the mighty “Viperfish” on Subtitles Music, which among other things got highlighted by Andy-C countless times. Next to all of this his music gained steady support by international top acts like Andy C, Pendulum, Ed Rush & Optical, Teebee + Calyx, Phace, Mayhem, Noisia, Spor etc.

As DJ, the Stuttgart based musician has toured most of the world’s DnB locations, clubs and festivals. His sets are known for flawless mixing, deep cutting edge funk and enough energy to split an atom. End of 2008 he decided with longterm friends and partners Phace to launch their own musical platform - NEOSIGNAL.

His debut album in collaboration with Phace is set to be released beginning of 2010. Misanthrop is more as one to watch, he has always been around and just waited for the rigth moment to step out of the shade.

Misanthrop (Михаэль Бройнингер) проникся мрачной атмосферой и темным звучанием drum&bass`а в начале 90-x годов и решил посвятить себя написанию этой музыки, оставив свой собственный след под ником «Misanthrop». Это имя дало свободу Михаэлю выражать в каждом треке свой личный опыт и использовать музыку как способ отображения человеческих отношений. Вместе с философской глубиной этой концепции музыка Misanthrop`а получила необычное отличие, которое выделяет его из рядов актуальных современных музыкантов.

10 лет упорной работы в студии над собственным видением музыки и продакшена, позволили стать Misanthrop`у далеко не последним артистом на мировой drum&bass-сцене. Со своим отличительным звуком в его багаже успешные релизы на таких великих лейблах как «Renegade Hardware», «Shadow Law», «Cyanide», а так же на знаменитом «Subtitles Music». Его треки играют такие гуру мировой drum&bass-сцены как Andy C, Pendulum, Ed Rush & Optical, Teebee, Calyx, Phace, Mayhem, Noisia, Spor и многие другие.

В качестве ди-джея, Misanthrop посетил с гастролями практически весь мир, выступая в крупнейших клубах и фестивалях. Его сеты характерны потрясающей техникой сведения, глубоким, ультрасовременным фанком и насыщены потрясающей энергетикой, которая может буквально разнести на атомы любой танцпол.

В конце 2008 года совместно с давними друзьями и партнерами Phace, Misanthrop создает свой собственный музыкальный лейбл «Neosignal», на котором в начале 2010 выходит их совместный альбом «From Deep Space». С первых секунд звучания альбом завораживает своих слушателей глубиной мрачного футуристического звучания neurofunk-треков, разбавленных dubstep-композициями.

Misanthrop всегда был вокруг и только ждал нужного момента, чтобы выйти из тени.
