Forest Gir's real name is Elena and she is originally from Moscow, Russia. Elena has been a DJ for the past several years playing various styles of dance music from techno to electro-mash, always with a psychedelic edge to it. Around 2005 Elena got more and more involved in the Moscow psytrance scene as she started to take great interest in the more powerful electronic music, and in the beginning of 2007 she started DJ'ing at psytrance parties in Russia with her newly acquired tunes. Working together with Slava "Strofaria" Elena has also started writing psytrance and the results have been very impressive according to the feedback from other established Russian psytrance producers. Forest Girl is now working on her own material written in a style that combines elements of twisted full power night with more melodic sounds of new wave goatrance. The output is defined by powerful and dynamic basslines with trippy full range psychedelic synths that take listeners to a whole new level.
