The digital age has spawned a multitude of young Dj/Producer stars of the future. At only 18, Turkish Dj producer and label owner, Faruk Sabanci is most certainly one of the youngest and most impressive in this new generation. Faruk was born in Istanbul on the 18th Of June, 1992. With the influence of his family he started to take piano lessons at an extremely young age. Gradually Faruk became fluent in both reading manuscript and playing the instrument itself. He was hearing pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, melodic music that was soon to become his true passion. The first taste of electronic dance music came later when he heard the Robert Miles 'Children' album. This exposed Faruk to EDM for the first time and he began to immerse himself in the dance music sounds of the late nineties and early noughties, predominately the explosion of the TRANCE genre worldwide! Faruk managed to get his first set of decks in early 2001 and as a young boy he started to collect records, which he still does to today.

9 years since then, growing up and becoming increasingly obsessed with electronic dance music, Faruk's trial and error self taught method has got him to his current impressive level. At 16 years old Faruk Sabanci was already signed with Paul van Dyk and has earned the reputation of being the youngest and most supported Turkish Dj/Producer in the global trance scene. Faruk has a string of collaborations on many impressive labels such as Mondo Records, Infrasonic and Shah Music to name a few. As well as heavyweight labels such as Armin van Buurens 'Armada' and Paul van Dyks 'Vandit'. His proudest moment to date came in March 2009 when PVD played Sabanci & Truby - Leaving Ankara on the mainstage of Trance Energy (the world biggest trance event)in Utrecht Holland. Add to this heavy support from highly successful artists such as Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Judge Jules, Matt Darey and many more which makes it clear why Faruk Sabanci is truly flying the flag for trance in Turkey.

The youngster became interested in the label side of the industry in late 2008. After working as an A&R for 2 digital labels, Faruk established the Arisa Audio brand (owned by himself and Joseph Areas) to create his own sublabel named Harmonic Breeze Recordings. The labels have received massive support by all notable Trance DJ's on the globe and have more than promising material knocking on the door. Faruk is also no stranger to the radio scene, his show named ''Cold Harmonies'' which takes place twice a month on one of the worlds leading trance music broadcasting radio stations, Afterhours FM is building up listeners at a steady rate. ''Turkish Delight'' is his second radio show that's going out on 10 different radio stations in the UK, Russia, Turkey, USA, Greece, Latvia, Poland and Ireland on a monthly basis. While all the studio work gets heavier by the second, international booking requests are already coming in so it wont be long until Faruk's passport is in full use across the globe. The 18 year old has already performed several times in Switzerland, Germany, Ukraine aside his home country.
Faruk plans to team up with some exciting new artists in the future along with expanding his record label with his partner Joseph Areas. The youngster intends to building his name and it looks like there is no way of stopping him.

With international gigs already lined up through out Europe, we can comfortably say things arent going too bad at all for this kid. The expansion and promotion of his label and radio shows are high on Faruks list of priorities, so plans are already underway to push these projects. Faruk Sabanci will continue to spread the sound of trance in Turkey and is without doubt an exciting and dedicated new international artist whose at the beginning of a wonderful journey.
