DJ Magnus is an upcoming DJ & Artist. He's European / British, he was born in Geneva, Switzerland and is also half Swedish due to his Mum being from Sweden & his Dad is English. Whose parents call him by Alexander Magnus Boakes, his real full name. His mother's maiden name is Johanson, hence his DJ / Artist Name as 'Magnus Johanson'. Grew up part of his early years in Ferny Voltire, France near Geneva, Switzerland & later the family relocated back to England where he grew up in Brighton. Now he is living in Florida.

Beats & Grooves run thru his blood & shakes his world!! He has been DJing since 1994. Magnus has previously worked in London within the music industry for both several Indie & Major Labels with the likes such as Mushroom Group of Companies (Mushroom, Infectious, Flying Nun etc), Virgin UK, EMI, MCI, Sanctuary Group including Sanctuary Records & In-Flight Entertainment. In addition, from 1998 to 2001 Magnus was a ‘UK DJ Assistant’ for DJ Jon Bishop who is one of the top USA Hard (NRG) House / Dance DJs from San Diego during his rising UK DJ Profile in the early days of his entry into the UK Electronic Dance Scene. Jon who quickly became one of the major Hard House / Dance DJs around among with other top UK DJs prior to Magnus return to Florida in 2001. Magnus has also worked previously for a time in the ‘Pro Audio Dept’ at Sam Ash Music Megastore in Miami. Magnus has also played at several Clubs & Radio Stations.

Today, Magnus continues to work hard by focusing on working to improve both his DJ & Production skills at his beloved DJ / Production Studio. To further develop his music aspirations / aims to another level by working at nights & weekends when time permits in order to achieve his eventful goals to release tracks, launch a label & increase his DJ bookings nationally & internationally.

Magnus used to play drums in his youth years prior to becoming a DJ back in 1994. He is a hard of hearing (Deaf) DJ. Congenital Deafness was the cause & was caused by German Measles during his mum's pregnancy. Refusing to accept that deafness would be a barrier to his dream of pursuing a Professional DJ / Artist career that he aspires to achieve one day. He managed to overcome his deafness by using only his (hard of hearing) right ear to DJ, which took him a few years to master & to prefect this technique including his DJ Skills. Due to his love & passion for music, he has proved his critics wrong by being able to DJ to match the skill levels of a Career Professional (hearing) DJ / Artist. He has the confidence to make it to the top when his day & time comes with patience as he continues put in the hours to work hard in his studio to constantly improve his DJ & Production skills.
