At school he sat at back desks and ornamented them, imagining his first album sleeve. Of course, there was no time for studing, just.. only a little bit! But after classes he took the guitar and performed at unknown act «Under Cloud of Day», feeling himself like a duck to water. Practically, he always stayed informed about the last musical trends and knew exactly from what kind of music all the girls piped at disco parties. The closet's shelves were always filled with different discs and he even carried at least several collections. And of course, his permanent accessories were headsets and a music stand; the rest was not important!
Dj Martin aka Ivan Volkov started, as many Djs, since school disco parties.
After he graduated from several educational institutions, he didn't give up performing and tried to increase his mastering's time and the selection of compilations. Professionally, he started to work as a Dj since 2002 and payed his attension to this occupation all the off-duty time. Before he became a resident of his club he had worked as a networking/acoustic adviser in the club equipments' shop and it let him to broaden his outlook in the sphere of electronics technology. For several times he visited many clubs with his musical sets in Ivanovo region. Since he moved in Ivanovo city, he extensively concerned with writing his own mixes. In 2008 he got an invitation to become a resident of the entertainment center «Oblico Morale». He was also a resident of Fridays' parties in Bomba Club in association with the promo-group Inside.
He is one of the organizer of the Drum'n'Bass Party Neformat Promo Group. In association with Dj Misha Mas he works at the Project by the format D.I.S.C.O. - Pure Honey Project. It is directed to the music of 80th-90th.
The best compliment is the absence of the blanc space on the floor!!!

Еще в школе садился на задние парты и разрисовывал их ,воображая обложку своего первого альбома.Было конечно немного не до учебы,совсем чуть чуть))))Зато после уроков,взяв в руки гитару,играл в никому неизвестной группе"Под Покровом Дня",чувствуя себя как рыба в воде.Практически всегда был в курсе последних музыкальных веяний и точно знал,от чего пищат девочки на дискотеке)))Полки в шкафу всегда были завалены дисками и даже с собой носил хотя бы несколько сборников .Конечно неизменными аксессуарами были наушники и пульт,остальное неважно!Dj Martin aka Иван Волков , начинал как и множество ,со школьных дискотек .
После окончания ряда учебных заведений не бросил играть , а наоборот старался увеличить время мастеринга и подбора компиляций.Профессионально стал заниматься ди-джеингом с 2002 года и уделял етому занятию практически все свободное от работы время .До того, как получить резидентство - работал консультантом по световой и акустической аппаратуре в магазине оборудования для ночных клубов, что позволило еще больше расширить кругозор в сфере электронных технологий. Посещал со своими сетами не раз множество ночных клубов Ивановской области .С момента переезда в город Иваново активно занят работой в сфере написания 
собственных миксов .В

 2008 году получает приглашение стать резидентом Р Ц Oblico Morale.Также был резидентом пятничных вечеринок в ночном клубе Bomba ,совместно с промо-группой Inside.Один из организаторов Drum n Bass Party Neformat Promo Groupe.

Совместно с Dj Misha Mas активно занят работой над проектом формата D.I.S.C.O. -Pure Honey Project(проект Чистый Мед).Проект направлен целиком на музыку 80-90 х годов.

С 2010 года-резидент ES-Radio(Санкт-Петербург) - The European Kitchen Radio Show.
