Missing summer already? Feel like you're back at the beach with DJ Fiesta's new mix. This summer mix starts you off with "La Serenada", a sunny house track, and the Latino vibe carries on in DJ Chick's "Colombian Carnival" - Fiesta's not kidding when he says he wants to take you back to the beach. "Suave" takes it higher with echoing synths, but it comes right back down with "When the Sun Comes Down," which is a bit darker and makes for a nice balance. "Porto Hustle" by house master Chris Montana makes for a unique sound with its chopped up vocals but smooth synth loop, and if you haven't gotten it yet, DJ Fiesta loves that Latin sound. "El Mariachi" by Antonio Banderas (yes, the guy who played Zorro) is as Spanish as you can get, with signature flamenco guitar and sweet Spanish lyrics, all bathed in House goodness. Next up is "Tell Me," a vocal-heavy track that bleeds into "Libido," which has some sexy synths. Kid Massive switches it up with the very progressive-sounding "Get Busy," and the startling transition between it and the way more subdued "Mr. Cokesniffa" just seems to pass you by - until two seconds later you suddenly sit up straighter and go, "What?" In contrast , this song blends so easily into "Take Me There," you might not even be able to tell at first where exactly the song changes. The finale, "So Many Times," ends off with a bang: melodies and synth textures that just scream summer. Get away from the rain and Back to the Beach.
