d-phrag is a Bulgarian DJ. Although he has no formal musical education, music always has been an important part of his life. As every teenager of his generation he enjoyed heavy metal and punk rock, as well as many other music styles. His affection for electronic music dates back to 2002 when he heard some trance/progressive trance tracks as well as Astral Projection and various psy-trance artists. Later his musical taste has been heavily influenced by the Global Underground series, The Essential Mix on BBC, as well as John Digweed's Kiss 100 radioshow. The DJ's that shaped his vision for the modern electronic music - Kleineberg, Sasha, Digweed, Oakenfold, Dave Seaman...to name a few.

At some point he decided to try some DJ software to make a mix with only the tracks he likes and that was the moment he fell in love with the DJ mixing. After a year of rather underground mixing, he was invited to do a guest mix as "Artist Of The Week" on friskyradio.com - and that event logically led to his own DJ show on the same radio. The show is called Immersed and features new and established talents on the progressive electronic music scene. Currently the show has an average of 3000 listeners from all over the world. The show has been a good start for young and upcoming artists like Lokitas, Silent Brothers, Grigory & Anthony and Denver & Mints from Russia, Audionova from Serbia, Kintar & Rex from Argentina as well as many others (many of them are now residents with their own show on friskyradio). Since 2008 d-phrag co-hosts Immersed with his young colleague Plamen K. They also started a collaboration as a DJ duo, playing on various events in Bulgaria. In October 2009 d-phrag has been invited by DJ Balthazar to play on one of the biggest events in Bulgaria, RENESANZ - featuring many big names in the electronic music.

In 2010 due to the big popularity of friskyradio.com in former Soviet countries, d-phrag has performed in Ukraine and Belarus, gaining very positive feedback.

Over the past few years d-phrag's DJ style evolved alot, but one thing remains the same - the passion for music, carefully selected tunes and energetic mixture of sounds.

Ivan Philipov известен так же как d-phrag, родился в Болгарии. Как большинству подростков его поколения, Ивану нравился heavy metal и punk rock и другие стили популярные в те годы. Хотя он не имел музыкального образования, музыка всегда была важной частью его жизни. Его увлечение электронной музыкой началось 2002, когда он прослушал произведения Astral Projection и треки других progressive, trance, psy-trance исполнителей.

Позже на сильное влияние оказали: Global Underground,The Essential Mix, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Sander Kleineberg, Sasha, Oakenfold, Dave Seaman...и это не полный список. Затем пришло время сделать свой микс, который состоял бы только из любимых треков. После года успешной работы его пригласили представить гостевой микс на friskyRadio в рубрике "Artist Of The Week". Это был настоящий прорыв и успех в его карьере.

После этого последовало предложение сделать его выступления на friskyRadio постоянным. Immersed – так называется авторское шоу Ивана. В данный момент шоу слушают около 3300 человек со всего мира. Это шоу стало хорошим началом в карьере для молодых и развивающихся проектов того времени: Lokitas, Silent Brothers, Grigory & Anthony, Denver & Mints, Denis Bozman из России, Audionova из Сербии, Kintar & Rex из Аргентины, а также для многих других, многие из них в настоящее время имеют свои программы на friskyRadio.

d-phrag был в качестве гостя практически на всех популярных радио станциях сети Интренет, таких как: Proton Radio, DI.FM, PURE.FM, Sense.FM, Tribalmixes, Party107, Insomnia.FM, Mixing.dj, Eilo.org, ADN Alternative, Justmusic.FM, Musicforever.hu, Ensonic.FM, MFM Radio, BeatTunes, Danceradio Greece, DJVibes Radio. Не обошлось и без радио станций вещающих в фм-диапозоне: Radio Nova, Alpha Radio и многие другие.

С 2008 года к шоу в качестве соавтора присоединился Plamen K. Совместное производство радио шоу сделало их DJ дуэтом, выступающим на различных мероприятиях в Болгарии. В октябре 2009 году d-phrag принял приглашение от DJ Balthazar и выступил на одном из самых больших мероприятий Болгарии – RENESANZ.

В последнее время музыкальный стиль d-phrag претерпел изменения, но что никогда не исчезнет так это положительная энергетика, которой пронизаны все его работы.
