Born and raised in the Netherlands, Chill Phil, got in touch with the music through the local radio stations. There he got to know techno & house music and started spinning at the age of 17. That is way back in the early 90s where the music still had its analogue groove.
In 1994 he moved from the country side into a bigger city. He started to spin acidhouse and underground techno music at various underground partys. He got more known as a Dj and got loads of positive feedback. A lot of people liked his style of weird acid mixed with fast underground techno that resulted in gigs at various big partys with international Djs.
In 1998, he decided to move to Switzerland where it got a little quiet around him as a Dj. Chill Phil concentrated on producing acidhouse music under the name of "Guinesh" and soon the first demo cd was released. After a difficult start he made it with his 2nd demo cd in the legendary John Peel Show on the BBC Radio in England. In 2002 he had 2 of his tracks on No.1 on mp3.com.
In 2003 he moved to Spain where he got in touch with deep and funky house music. In Spain he had lots of time to develop his mixing and producing skills.
He keeps up his mixing like in the past days, very basic but with full power and an exceptional record choice. Also in that time he joined the Multiple Eargasm Crew.
After 2 years living, traveling and spinning in Spain and Andorra he returned to Switzerland, where he recently spins in the "Raumli". He's still into the deep and funky sound, mixed with some headz and electro house. You will find him playing out under the name of Chill Phil.
